“The LORD is my chosen portion and cup; you hold my lot. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places.” ~ Psalm 16:5-6
Hello and welcome!
My name is Sarah. I am a wife and mother from the deep south in New Zealand. We live in a house built in 1914 which we are slowly renovating (really, making livable and safe!). The Lord brought us here near the end of 2019 after He had stirred in us for a few years that we were going to have a big life change. We didn’t know what (in fact, for a while we thought we were going to England), but as He often does, after much waiting, everything happened very quickly. All of a sudden, we were moving five hours south where we had no family and few people we knew.
But, oh, what a blessing it has been! Even in the hard moments – and there have been many – God has shown us His love, His care, His provision, His favour. He has fulfilled dreams in ways we would never have considered. Though our house is old and run down, it is situated on a hill where we look out on nature and city. It is a villa, full of history and character. It is a pleasant place.
‘In Pleasant Places’ has been a phrase in my heart for several years and it seemed apt for my blog. Wherever we are, even in a deep valley, He is our portion and cup, and the boundary lives of our life always land in pleasant places.
This blog is a space where I share our life, my thoughts on marriage, motherhood, and homeschooling. Blogging today is not like it used to be, but I am keeping persevering in being faithful to the Lord and just keep writing, like I always have done. I pray you are blessed and encouraged here.
God Bless you!
